Hello, my name is Rose.

After living in the United States for over 26 years, I returned to Canada to be closer to my family. I had the pleasure of living in both Texas and California. In 1981, I was transferred to Houston, Texas, by the firm that I was working for in Montreal.

I love all animals, have never been without a pet or six, and cannot imagine my life without animals. Currently, I have a cat that I found wandering on the street all mangled and barely alive. He was so tiny that I thought he was a kitten. Actually, he was about two years old. Thanks to a wonderful veterinarian, we were able to save Spotty. That was 16 years ago!

Growing up outside Montreal, I spent a great deal of time at a horse ranch. Apart from riding, what I truly enjoyed was grooming and feeding the horses, and cleaning their stalls. In Texas, I had ample opportunity to continue this passion. I also volunteered every Saturday for 3 years at the Houston SPCA. My duties were mainly in the cattery, but I also spent time exercising dogs.

In California, I experienced the greatest joy of my life--my dog! I rescued a precious 2-year old Rottweiler who was ravaged with ailments. It was at this point in time that I delved into holistic animal care and pet nutrition. With all the tools I learned, I was able to to improve her health and the transformation was incredible. I was so lucky to spend another 11 years with her.

I spent several years doing a lot of pet and house sitting for friends, colleagues, and neighbours, and became very accustomed to caring for other people’s pets. After receiving great feedback from them, I always thought how much I would like to do this full time. Well, now is the time!
