Hello, my name is Kelly and I am a self-confessed “cat lady” ;)  That said – I also love all kinds of animals – especially dogs and rabbits.  Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up outside of the Ottawa area in North Gower. Growing up in the country with parents who were also animal lovers, I had the opportunity to experience all kinds of pet-related adventures. A favorite story of mine is how our family dog had a litter of puppies on the same day my sister was born. When we went to see my mom and new sister in the hospital – all I could talk about was the new puppies! 

With respect to caring for pets, I have experienced it all. I've witnessed first-hand the birth of brand new kittens and puppies (and fish) to caring for and nursing injured animals (i.e., sprained ankles, distemper, broken back, hip dysplasia, porcupine and skunk attacks, flea and ticks, etc.) and administered the special care needed for aging animals that have had a long, happy life.

My current “fur-babies” are Dexter and Flip. Dexter is a domestic long-hair cat who is 1 & ½ years old – she “rules the roost” in my home but pays me well with tonnes of affection and cuddles. Flip is a 3 year old mini-rex rabbit who acts like a grumpy old man most of the time but has a silly sense of humour and absolutely adores his younger kitty-sister Dexter.

Being an experienced pet parent and animal lover (as well as a home-owner myself), it is a natural progression that I am building a career out of caring for them. Aside from my love of animals and experience in caring for them, I feel I have a lot to offer other pet parents – a professional attitude, a strong customer service background, a friendly, open and honest personality, and a fine attention to detail.
