  Member with ACPSN

  Commitment to abide by the ACPSN professional standards

  Business Registration (registered in Ontario)

  Insured & bonded

  References from clients & from other professionals (e.g. veterinarian in the pet care industry)

  Certification in Pet First Aid

  Completion of an Emergencies Handbook

  Participation in a fundraising event for a humane society or animal charity or 6 hours volunteer work with a non-profit animal-oriented organization

  Participation in a client service rating program

  The completion of 1 continuing education course (with certificate) or 3 non-certificate seminars / programs

  Completion of 40 hours volunteer / community service in the animal industry
